This was for a historic preservation class.  It was a graduate level class (they let me take it because it was the only thing available that semester for my specialization) where we did a Historic American Buildings Survey survey.  This was a real survey--if you go to HABS, you can look it up.

This is the living room fireplace from the George P. Kuykendall House in Lubbock, Texas.  I love this fireplace.  That's not a painting--that's a mosaic tile.  And the sconces to the sides are cast iron.

Why yes, I did measure every square inch of it.
